Local MP Stephen Metcalfe has
today spoken of how pleased he was to have the opportunity to address members
of the Corringham Thameside Rotary club recently at their regular weekly
meeting held at the Springhouse Club in Corringham.
During the visit, Stephen had
the chance to speak to members about various local issues including the road
layout at the Manorway approach to the A13; the wooden barriers which have been
erected in front of some of the houses at the Sorrells roundabout; his
continued opposition to “Option C”; the huge amount of investment taking place
in Thurrock and the job opportunities it brings as well as his commitment to
improve education in Basildon & Thurrock.
Stephen Metcalfe commented:
“Corringham Thameside is a thriving local Rotary group which does a lot of good
work in our community. It was an absolute pleasure to attend and take part in
an enjoyable and lively discussion of various matters of local interest”.
