Stephen Metcalfe MP: welcomes start of M25 J30/A13 improvement work
Stephen Metcalfe, MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock has today welcomed the £55m project to improve the M25 J20/A13 junction due to start early this year.
Funding for the project was announced in Autumn 2012, with a commitment that the work would begin before March 2015. The A13 through the junction will be widened to four lanes in each direction. Slip roads to and from the M25 are also to be improved.
Stephen Metcalfe commented: “This is great news! I know that my constituents will be very pleased to hear that this vital work is to begin shortly. Jackie Doyle-Price has done a brilliant job at representing the views of local residents on this issue and I congratulate her for helping to achieve this result.”
