Stephen Metcalfe, local MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock has today met with local schoolchildren in Parliament as part of their school trip to Westminster.
The students were greeted by Stephen Metcalfe on arrival, who welcomed them and spoke to them about what it was like to work as a Member of Parliament.
Stephen Metcalfe later commented: “I was delighted to welcome the pupils from Kingswood to Parliament today. It was great to speak to them about my job as a Member of Parliament and discuss how important the Palace of Westminster is to the lives of the British people.”
“The Kingswood staff have done an excellent job with organising today’s trip for the pupils. I thank them for all of the work they have done for our local schoolchildren. They remain an invaluable part of our community”.
