Stephen Metcalfe,
local MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock, paid a visit to Vange Primary
School last week to catch up with both staff and pupils and to see what the
school council had been up to.
The local MP was
given a tour by the Headteacher, Mr Rodgers, where he was able to see for
himself some of the fantastic work produced by students. He then met with the
school council for a question and answer session and to learn about their
ongoing work.
Mr Metcalfe
commented: “It was fantastic to visit the school and to meet with the school
council. I was extremely impressed by their enthusiasm and commitment and also
by the standard of work on display as I walked around with Mr Rodgers. Although
a relatively small school I can see Vange Primary has big ambitions for both
the school and its students.”
"The school is
going from strength to strength and I look forward to seeing how the students
progress in the years to come.”
