Local Conservative MP Stephen Metcalfe has urged local people to support the Conservative candidate Nicholas Alston in this Thursday’s Police and Crime Commissioner Elections.
The PCC will set the budget, write the local crime plan and hold the police to account. The powerful new local figure will replace the existing police authority.
Commenting local Mr Metcalfe said: “We need a Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex who is focused on cutting crime and standing up for victims. Conservative candidate Nick Alston will get value out of every penny of the budget and focus all available resources on the front line.”
